Arshad Nadeem created history on August 8 by becoming the first Pakistani to win a gold medal in the Olympics. The 27-year-old touched a distance of 92.97 m in his second attempt to win the yellow metal in the men’s javelin throw competition of the Paris Olympics 2024. In the final, Nadeem twice crossed the 90-meter mark to become the first athlete in Olympic history to achieve the feat.

After ending a 32-year-long medal wait for Pakistan in the Olympics, Nadeem returned to Pakistan on Sunday morning (August 11), and upon his arrival, he received a heroic welcome.

The star athlete is getting a lot of love and support from fans, but amid all this rousing reception, a video is going viral on the internet in which he can be seen meeting Muhammed Harris Dhar, who is joint secretary of the Milli Muslim League of floated by Hafiz Saeed.

While many social media users have claimed that the meeting between the two took place after Nadeem returned to Pakistan from Paris, security grid sources haven’t confirmed the timing of the meeting.

According to them, it is not confirmed if this meeting happened after Arshad won gold at the Paris Olympics or before.

The US Department of Treasury designated seven terrorists from MML, including Harris Dhar, in 2018. The seven who were named “specially designated global terrorists” by the US Treasury Department were MML president Saifullah Khalid, Muzammil Iqbal Sashimi, Harris Dhar, Tabish Qayyum, Fayyaz Ahmad, Faisal Nadeem, and Muhammad Ehsan. They were named for acting on behalf of Saeed’s Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a terror outfit.

The MML was formed in 2017 by Saeed. He had said that MML would contest the 2018 elections, but the MML was never registered as a political party after the US sanctions.
