Shannon Sharpe ‘Embarrassed’ After Accidently Live Streaming Intimate Moment on Instagram –

Former NFL star Shannon Sharpe has opened up about his controversial Instagram live session where more than 3 million followers became privy to his intimate session. The clip went viral on Wednesday with Sharpe initially claiming that his social media accounts were hacked.

“Beware my Instagram was hacked this morning. My team and I are vigorously working to figure this out,” he wrote.

Sharpe addressed the topic in an emergency episode of the “Nightcap” podcast and clarified that the footage was accidentally recorded by himself and no hacker was involved in it.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer admitted that he was left “embarrassed” after the explicit video went live on Instagram.

“I am embarrassed. Someone that is extremely private, and to have one of your most intimate details, the audio heard for the entire world? I’m embarrassed for a number of reasons… I’m very disappointed in myself, not for the act but to have your most intimate detail heard,” Sharpe said.

Sharpe felt the incident has let a lot of people down.

“I always try to be professional, even when I’m behind closed doors. I think there are millions and billions of people of consenting age who engage in activities, but for the audio to be heard I’m disappointed in myself. I let a lot of people down,” the 56-year-old added.

Sharpe also revealed that he “threw his phone on the bed” on that day before engaging in coitus. “I’ve never turned IG live on so I don’t know how it works and all of sudden my other phone started going off,” he said.

It was his marketing partner Jamie Fritz who first informed Sharpe about the live video.

“My phone wasn’t hacked. It wasn’t a prank, it was me being a healthy, active male,” the NFL legend remarked.

Sharpe had an illustrious NFL career where he represented the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens. The legendary tight end was key to Denver’s back-to-back Super Bowl titles (XXXII and XXXIII). He also won the XXXV edition of the competition with the Ravens.

Sharpe featured in 204 regular season games and was a starter in four AFC championship fixtures.
