Eight of the world’s cricketing superpowers face off in Pakistan and Dubai this month for the ninth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy, a tournament in the sport’s 50-over format.
In-form one-day international specialists India are widely seen as the favorites to lift the trophy this time out. Their neighbors and rivals Pakistan are the defending champs.
Due to political tensions, India’s matches are being held in Dubai, while all other matches are in Pakistan.

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy takes place over three weeks and 15 matches. Eight teams are split into two round-robin groups for the opening group stage. New Zealand, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan make up Group A, while Afghanistan, Australia, England and South Africa make up Group B. The top two in each group will progress to the semifinals.
