This week is a big one for streaming platforms, especially Netflix, which can now claim credit for bringing Robert De Niro to TV. The 81-year-old actor has never held a starring role on the small screen until Zero Day, the new political thriller arriving on Netflix this Thursday. The platform will also uphold its legacy of great sports docs with the release of Court of Gold which follows the journey of several pro ballers to the Paris Olympics.
Several popular shows are returning this week with new seasons on other platforms, too, including Prime Video’s Reacher, the Apple TV Plus series Surface and the Yellowstone prequel 1923, which will be back on Paramount Plus.

De Niro’s finally doing TV! Screen icon Robert De Niro, along with Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Angela Bassett and many more, star in Netflix’s Zero Day, a political thriller about a former President (De Niro) investigating a cyberattack and finding himself out of his depth. Surface, Season 2 (Feb. 21)
Gugu Mbatha-Raw stars in Surface as Sophie, a woman unable to remember her past after an attempted suicide. Unable to even recall why she wanted to die, she tries to piece together the secrets of her own life. In the show’s second season, Sophie learns that she and a journalist had been working together to expose a group of people that Sophie has grown close to. Season 2 consists of eight episodes, with a new episode dropping weekly through April.

A Thousand Blows (Feb. 21)
A Thousand Blows, the new series from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, is set in the seedy criminal underbelly of Victorian London. The show stars Erin Doherty (The Crown) as Mary Carr, the leader of The Forty Elephants, a notorious all-female gang, alongside Malachi Kirby and Francis Lovehall, who play friends Hezekiah and Alec, who have recently emigrated from Jamaica and find themselves at the center of a thriving, dangerous boxing scene.

Reacher, Season 3 (Feb. 20)
Alan Ritchson returns as Jack Reacher, the beefy, wandering vigilante with a thirst for justice in Prime Video’s Reacher. Jack Reacher first appeared in the book series by Lee Child, and this newest season will be based on the seventh book in the series, Persuader. While most of the Season 2 cast will not be returning, Reacher’s crime-fighting partner Frances Neagley (Maria Sten) will be back to help him with his latest case. Three episodes of the show will drop on Feb. 20 with new episodes arriving each week.

It’s hard to believe it, but before now, Pixar has never put out an original TV series. That all changes with Win or Lose, the animation studio’s first original show not based around existing IP, which features the voices of Will Forte, Rosie Foss, Lil Rel Howery, Melissa Villaseñor, Jo Firestone and many others. The show follows eight different characters as they each prepare for a big championship softball game, with each episode focused on a different character. Episodes start to roll out on Disney Plus starting Feb. 19.
