All 288 constituencies of Maharashtra will go for polls tomorrow to decide the fate of an epic clash between the Mahayuti and the MVA.
Voters in Maharashtra will cast their votes tomorrow (November 20) for the high-stakes Assembly elections in the state. Polling will be held on all 2888 constituencies of Maharashtra, along with the second phase of the Jharkhand Assembly elections.
The fight in Maharashtra is between two key alliances – the ruling Mahayuti alliance and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). The Mahayuti comprises of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). The MVA comprises of the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sharad Pawar’s NCP.
The poling will begin at 7 am and will conclude at 6 pm. The counting of all votes is scheduled to take place on Saturday (November 23). The Election Commission of India (ECI) has offered a range of methods to help voters check their names on the electoral list.

How To Check Your Name On The Voter List
The simple way to check your name on the voter list in Maharashtra is to visit the official ECI website – https://voters.eci.gov.in/ – with required official documents.
- Click on the ‘Search Electoral Roll’ option under the Services tab.
- Choose one of the three options available – ‘Search by Details’, ‘Search by EPIC Number’ and ‘Search by Mobile’.
- Under the ‘Search by Details’ option, you can enter their name, date of birth, state and district and click ‘Search’.
- Under the ‘Search by EPIC Number’, you can use the EPIC Number on your voter ID and enter the captcha code to verify your details.
- Under the ‘Search by Mobile’, you need to provide your registered mobile number, select your state and language and enter the Captcha code. You will receive an OTP on your phone, which can be used to access your details.
Documents Required To Verify Details
Any individual who seeks to verify their details on the ECI website must at least possess:
- Aadhaar card
- Passport
- Driving licence
- Employee ID (for government servants and public limited companies)
- Official ID cards (for MPs, MLAs and MLCs)
- PAN card
- Bank passbooks with photo
- Smart card
- MNREGA job card
- Health insurance smart card (issued by Ministry of Labour)
- Unique disability ID
- Pension document with photo
What To Do If Name Not Found On Voter List?
In case your name is not found on the voter list, you can request corrections on the ECI website before the polling day. You should ensure these updates are completed before going to a polling station to cast your votes.
All individuals are required to ensure they have the correct documents and details to make the voting process easier. You need to carry your voter ID and a photo ID proof to the polling station to cast your vote.
