The second full Moana 2 trailer was released Thursday, and it features a fittingly named new song: We’re Back. Moana (voiced by Auliʻi Cravalho) and demigod Maui (voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) are returning to the big screen in Moana 2 on Nov. 27, the day before Thanksgiving.
In the sequel, Moana hunts for a hidden island to break a curse that’s fallen upon her home of Oceania, and faces off against creatures led by Matangi, a dreaded underworld goddess.
The song We’re Back isn’t entirely new to fans, as Cravalho debuted it this summer at the D23 fan event.
The first full Moana 2 trailer was released in early August.
The full-length Disney feature was originally planned as a Disney Plus series due to pandemic limitations keeping people out of theaters, but has since been reworked into a film. A live-action version of the first Moana film is additionally scheduled for release in 2026.
