Pakistan will observes World Heart Day on September 29 to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases.
A conference was held at the Karachi Press Club to educate people about heart health. The meet was aimed at creating awareness about the causes of heart diseases, their prevention, early diagnosis, and available world class facilities to treat cardiovascular diseases.
Renowned national and international cardiologists, government officials, and local organisation representatives participated in the conference. They identified high cholesterol, hypertension, smoking, sedentary lifestyle, diabetes, obesity, and unhealthy diet as major risk factors for heart disease.
