Social media gives a big chance to people to showcase their talent and gain incredible popularity and virality. It could encompass anything, which may include a dance skill, cooking, acting, or even a show of strength. Just like how in this viral video, a man has recorded himself lifting a vehicle weighing over 5 tons, injuring himself in the process.
The video is shared by an account called @deathp0sitive and shows a man lifting a tractor. In this extremely short clip, the man attempting the lift is sitting on a chair kept on the floor, which is being held by another man for support. He had perched his legs on the tractor’s wheel, inside its rim and tried to lift it. While he successfully seems to lift the tractor, he forgets to keep his legs slightly bent on the knees. It ends up bending on the opposite side, looking unnatural and triggering. After it happens, his friends including the one recording run towards him to help and the clip ends.
Netizens react to the video, sharing their concerns and dos and don’ts on how to attempt such a task. The first user wrote, “That’s why you shouldn’t lock your knees doing leg presses.” A second user shared, “Funny part is the other dude ran over there to lift the tractor back up! ( not slide dude backwards).” A third user stated, “Bro would have been fine if he knew how to properly do a leg press.” And a fourth user said, “He will never walk right again.” The clip has been liked over 375,000 times on the platform and it has gained more than 21.7 million views so far.
In a similar video shared in 2017, a clip was in the news, recording a man doing a leg press with “heaps of weight” in a gym. As he is attempting the exercise, his left leg loosens and bends the wrong way. However, he does not get crushed completely because of the safety lock in place. The video was viewed more than 2 million times.
