Visitors are given a boarding pass with the name of an actual Titanic passenger and can discover their fate, whether they survived or perished, in the Titanic Memorial Room.
Heat escapes from water faster than it does from land. If you’re in the water, even quite comfortable air temperatures might swiftly turn into hypothermia. Over time, prolonged exposure to water that appears tepid can be fatal. A water temperature of -2°C, similar to the water’s temperature on the evening that the Titanic sunk, can cause death in as little as 15 minutes. There is now a museum where people may get an idea about the water temperature of the Atlantic and feel how the passengers onboard must have felt when the ship sank.
The Titanic Museum attraction which is situated in Tennessee, USA has a collection of over 400 genuine Titanic memorabilia. It resembles the RMS Titanic as it is designed to be the fully functional half-scale of the original ship and has many peculiarities to provide the most realistic experience.
There are entirely manufactured settings and replicas of rooms on the ship. You are even provided with a boarding pass with the name of a real passenger of the ship. You can only know whether the person is alive or dead at the Titanic Memorial Room that pays tribute to 2,208 souls.
Spread over an area of more than 22,000 square feet, one of its attractions has recently found itself in the news after some visitors tried out one of its interesting components.
Since it is more of a self-service kind of concept where you walk around, see, touch or use whatever interests you, this group was particularly interested in a feature that involved a bucket being dipped in water at a particular temperature.
What is unique is that the water in the bucket they used has the same temperature that the Atlantic Ocean had on April 15, 1912, which was -2°.
Three visitors chose to see for how long they could immerse their hands in the water which had a temperature below freezing point.
In a video that has since gone viral, they each take turns in front of the camera, as the first woman simply said as she put her hand in, “Yes, that is bad. That is just a little rough.”
After a mere twenty seconds, the woman was replaced by a male who put his hand in and described the sensation as a “burning sensation.”
He withdrew his hand after eight seconds, declaring, “I’m dead.”
The third lady replaced him and exclaimed “Oh my God” several times while leaving her hand in.

She had $100 up for grabs if she could hold it in for two minutes, but she quickly removed it, claiming it would need to be no less than $500 for her to even think about it.
She did win out of the three, lasting for forty seconds.
