World Class Romania announces the launch of the second edition of this year’s #BeHealthy Festival, set to take place on September 14, 2024 at Herăstrău Park, Roaba de Cultură area. Following the success of the Timișoara and Cluj editions, where hundreds celebrated a healthy and active lifestyle, the capital is now ready to host this unique event, which has become a phenomenon in Romania’s health & fitness community since 2012.
“The #BeHealthy Festival is not just an event. It is a movement for more movement and a symbol of our commitment to the health and well-being of Romanians. Through this initiative, we aim to inspire as many people as possible to exercise, adopt an active lifestyle, and join the #BeHealthy community, which grows each year. Every festival edition is a new step in our collective journey towards a healthier and more active life. This year, the festival introduces a new action that shows our concern for educating the younger generation in the #BeHealthy spirit: the Charity Kids’ Race. It is an opportunity for children to discover the amazing benefits of physical exercise while also doing good! The special participation fee for the children’s race will be entirely directed to the ‘Dăruiește Viață’ projects, dedicated to children’s health”, said Kent Orrgren, CEO of World Class Romania.
A new highlight of this year’s event is the #BeHealthy Kids Race, a charitable run for children aged 3 to 12, organized in support of Dăruiește Viață. This association built the Marie Curie Hospital (#NoiFacemUnSpital initiative) and is now continuing with Romania’s first Pediatric Medical Campus at the same location. Every young participant will receive a medal, and all funds raised will be donated to support Dăruiește Viață’s health projects. The association’s representatives will be present on-site with more information, interactive games for children, and gifts for those who wish to make a meaningful contribution.
“Physical activity is essential at any age, especially for children, to get them accustomed to a healthy routine from an early age. We are thrilled that World Class has chosen Dăruiește Viață’s projects to receive the funds from the Kids’ Race entries. Essentially, kids are running for kids. We have built a hospital where children with severe illnesses receive the best treatment, and we’re continuing with a Pediatric Medical Campus for all children at Marie Curie. We hope that the young runners will inspire everyone at the festival,” said Oana Gheorghiu, co-founder of Dăruiește Viață.
The #BeHealthy Festival 2024 is open to both World Class members and non-members and offers a wide variety of fitness classes, training sessions, workshops, and fun activities for children – all free of charge. The event includes competitions, prizes, surprises, and educational activities for all participants. World Class members will enjoy exclusive access to special classes, advanced training sessions, and the chance to win surprise prizes. Non-members will have the opportunity to experience the benefits of training under the guidance of World Class experts.
