China’s mind-boggling medal haul included 94 gold, 76 silver and 50 bronze medals. Great Britian came in second with 124 medals, 49 gold, 44 silver and 31 bronze, followed by the United States of America, who finished with 105 medals to their name, 36 gold, 42 silver and 27 bronze medals.
China clinched the top spot in the medal tally of the Paris Paralympics 2024 with a mind-boggling 220 medals, of which 94 were gold, 76 were silver and 50 were bronze.

The Netherlands came in fourth thanks to their 27 gold, 17 silver and 12 bronze medal haul, ahead of Brazil with 25 gold, 26 silver and 38 bronze.
India, who came in 18th in the final standings of the sporting extravaganza, finished with a national record of 29 medals, as the representatives of the tricolour struck seven gold, nine silver and thirteen bronze medals at the quadrennial spectacle for the differently abled in the French Capital City.

The Indian para athletics contingent ruled the roost with their inspiring 17-medal haul, while 5 para shuttles, four para shooters, two para archers and a judoka adorned the Indian report card with a record-breaking tally.
India’s gold medals came from shooter Avani Lekhara, shuttler Nitesh Kumar, javelin throw athletes Sumit Antil and Navdeep Singh, club throw athlete Dharambir, high jumper Praveen Kumar, and archer Harvinder.

Shooter Manish Narwal, high jumpers Sharad Kumar and Nishad Kumar, discus thrower Yogesh Khatuniya, shuttlers Thulasimathi Murugesan, Suhas Yathiraj, javelin throw athlete Ajeet Singh, club thrower Pranav Soorma and shot put athlete Sachin Khilari roped in silver medals for the nation’s cause.
Shooters Mona Agarwal, Rubina Francis, shuttlers Manisha Ramadass, Nitya Sre Shivan, archers Rakesh Kumar and Sheetal Devi, high jumper Mariyappan Thangavelu, javelin thrower Sundar Singh Gurjar, judoka Kapil Parmar, shot put athlete Hokato Hotozhe Sema, and sprinters Deepti Jeevanji, Simran and Preethi, who finished on the podium in two events, accounted for the nation’s bronze medals.
