Your support helps us to tell the story

My recent work focusing on Latino voters in Arizona has shown me how crucial independent journalism is in giving voice to underrepresented communities.

Your support is what allows us to tell these stories, bringing attention to the issues that are often overlooked. Without your contributions, these voices might not be heard.

Every dollar you give helps us continue to shine a light on these critical issues in the run up to the election and beyond

Donald Trump is rallying supporters in Mosinee, Wisconsin on Saturday, an event that’s supposed to focus on the economy but the first hour has seen the former president bring up a familiar list of grievances.

It’s his first visit to the deep-red, mostly rural part of the important swing state. Trump began his speech after 2pm at Central Wisconsin Airport.

This comes as new polling shows that Florida and Texas are within the margin of error. The Emerson College Polling/The Hill poll released on Friday has Trump leading Harris in Florida by five points, 50 to 45 percent, and by four points in Texas, 50 to 46 percent.

Meanwhile, former vice president Dick Cheney, a staunch Republican, has vowed to vote for Harris in November.

His daughter, former congresswoman Liz Cheney said her father believes “there’s never been an individual in our country who is as great of a threat to our democracy as Donald Trump is.”

Governor Tim Walz will speak at the Human Rights Campaign Annual National Dinner in Washington, DC on Saturday night.

E Jean Carroll’s lawyer says ‘all options on the table’ after Trump attacks her again in rambling remarks

As he detailed sexual assault allegations against him in two defamation cases he lost, Donald Trump said he was “very disappointed” in his legal team while half a dozen of his attorneys surrounded him in the lobby of Trump Tower on Friday.

Trump attended brief oral arguments in a federal appeals court hearing in Manhattan on Friday morning, where attorneys argued to reverse a $5 million defamation verdict against the former president, who a jury found liable for sexually abusing the writer E Jean Carroll in a department store in the 1990s.

Trump insists that he has never met Carroll and has labeled her a liar, claims that landed him a second defamation lawsuit, which he lost earlier this year. A separate jury awarded Carroll more than $83 million.

Trump threatening the EU with more tariffs for not taking US cars and agriculture products

Trump threatened the EU with more tariffs for not taking American cars and agriculture products.

“The European Union … is one of the most egregious. They don’t take our cars, they don’t take our farm products, and we have a $300 billion trade deficit with them,” he claimed. “They’re going to have to pay a price now, because we’ve been supporting them for a long time, and it’s no longer sustainable. So I’m a tariff president, I’m not a tax increase president, because we’re going to lower your taxes when I’m back in the White House.”

The last time Trump put tariffs on the EU, it retaliated with tariffs on goods from red states like Harley-Davidson and Jack Daniels, threatening their share prices.

Trump tells Jewish Republicans that Israel will be ‘gone’ if Harris wins in November

Donald Trump has claimed Israel will be “gone” if Kamala Harris wins the election, during a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas.

“If they win, Israel is gone. Just remember that. If they win, Israel is gone,” Trump told the crowd via live video feed on Thursday. “You can forget about Israel, that’s what’s going to happen. So they have to get out on Nov. 5 and they have to vote for Trump. If they don’t, I think it’s going to be a very terrible situation.”

He also claimed Jews who vote for Democrats need to have their “head examined” and wondered: “How do they exist?” He also claimed if Harris becomes president, “you’re not going to have an Israel…Israel will no longer exist.”

Trump said that the military generals who like him are “not going woke.”
