Kumar Nitesh clinched his maiden gold medal at the Paralympic Games after beating Great Britain’s Daniel Bethell in a thrilling men’s singles SL3 badminton final.

Nithya Sre Sumathy Sivan wins bronze in women’s singles SH6 after beating Rina Marlina of Indonesia 21-14 21-6. Suhas Yathiraj secured his second successive silver medal in men’s singles SL4 after going down 9-21, 13-21 to favourite Lucas Mazur of France. Thulasimathi Murugesan and Manisha Ramadass signed off with maiden silver and bronze medals respectively in women’s singles SU5 category. Yogesh Kathuniya secured the Silver with a season-best throw of 42.22m in the Men’s Discus Throw-F56 Final. Archers Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar clinched bronze in the mixed team compound open after beating Italy 156-155.
