Bengaluru CEO, who went viral for ‘Brahmin genes’ post, blamed reservation following the tragic suicide of a Brahmin girl due to family’s financial condition.

Bengaluru-based CEO Anuradha Tiwari, who went viral for her ‘Brahmin genes’ post, has stirred the pot once again with a new post about reservation policies following the tragic suicide of a Brahmin girl. The 19-year-old ended her life after family’s financial woes prevented her from pursuing her desired stream in Class 11. Tiwari, a vocal advocate of the “One Family, One Reservation”, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express her frustration, pointing out that while there is significant budget allocation for reserved categories, there is little to no support for “poor Brahmins” and those in the general category. She also urged people to “unite and fight back”.

“A Brahmin girl commits suicide because her father couldn’t afford her education. Budget allocation for Reserved categories is around 2.8 lakh crores. Lakhs of crores for them while poor Brahmins and GCs are left to die. This is why we must unite and fight back!” wrote Tiwari on X.

Take a look at the post right here:

Tiwari, in a social media post in August 2022, voiced her opinion on “One Family, One Reservation”. She wrote, “I know a family where both parents work as govt teachers & kids work in govt banks, thanks to Reservation. How is this not an exploitation of #Reservation? If parents have already benefited from Reservation, why are kids using it?”

Tiwari’s Brahmin Genes post

Tiwari sparked a chatter on social media after she shared a photo of herself flexing her triceps while enjoying coconut water. She captioned the post with just two words “Brahmin genes”. The seemingly innocuous post quickly lanmded her into controversy, with some supporting her and others accusing her of promoting caste-based discrimination.
