‘No Idea What They’re Saying: Donald Trump ‘Feels Annoyed’ When Wife Melania, Son Barron

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is reportedly frustrated with his wife Melania Trump’s influence on their son, Barron Trump, who has spent much of his life away from the public eye.

Barron, 18, has primarily been raised by Melania and is fluent in Slovenian, his mother’s native language. This has reportedly irked Trump, who feels left out of conversations between Melania and Barron. Mary Jordan, author of The Art of Her Deal, highlighted that Barron sometimes speaks Slovenian to the US Secret Service agents, which they do not understand.

‘They all speak Slovenian’

“There’s a unit within the family unit, and it’s Melania, her mother, her father, and Barron. And they all speak Slovenian,” Jordan told CBS News. Trump has expressed annoyance at not knowing what they are saying, as he has not tried to learn the language. The US Secret Service, like the former US President, does not understand the language.

Meanwhile, Trump has expressed frustration over being unable to follow their conversations. “He has said it annoys him sometimes because he has no idea what they’re saying,” Jordan added. Melania Trump, born in Slovenia, has protected Barron, shielding him from media scrutiny and helping him maintain a low profile. The couple married in 2005, and Barron was born in 2006.

Unlike Trump’s older children, who have been more involved in public life, Barron has remained largely out of the spotlight, with Melania ensuring his privacy. Despite this, Barron has recently begun making more public appearances. He is reportedly multilingual and speaks French as well. Melania has publicly laid emphasises on speaking English in America, saying, “My opinion is that [the] more languages you speak, better it is, but when you come to America, you speak English.”
