Elon Musk referred to X as Twitter and the slip-up has drawn mixed reactions from netizens, with many referring it as the ‘biggest rebranding failure’.
Elon Musk, who led the rebranding from Twitter to X, might still be adjusting to the new name – or perhaps he just prefers the original – as he recently referred to the platform by its former name. This slip-up quickly caught the attention of the Internet, with many saying that the “rebranding is going well”.
The richest person in the world shared a post about the ban on X in Brazil where he referred to the platform as Twitter. He tweeted a meme showing a man lying on a large sum of banknotes with the text, “POV: VPN companies after Brazil banned Twitter.”
Elon Musk acquired Twitter in October 2022 and rebranded it to X in July 2023.
