IDF Admits “Failure” In West Bank Settler Rampage Probe | Houthis Refute Red Sea


The Israeli military admitted its failure to protect civilians from a settler attack on a Palestinian village in the occupied West Bank. Four suspects have been arrested over the attack in the village of Jit on August 15, when around 100 settlers went on a rampage.In a report on its probe into the incident, the IDF said its troops and police initially failed to manage the situation and should have acted more decisively.One Palestinian man was killed and another was wounded by gunfire in the incident. The Jit incident coincided with rising pressure on Israel from its Western allies to curb settler violence. The riot drew international backlash, including from the White House and several European diplomats.
