The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) launched a raid in the occupied West Bank on August 27, which is expected to be the largest in 22 years, Al Mayadeen reported. The Israeli military command said its forces had initiated a “wide-scale operation” in the governates of Tulkarm and Jenin.A spokesman for the Red Crescent confirmed reports that 10 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids and strikes in the north of the West Bank. The IDF released footage of a drone strike in the West Bank’s Far’a camp that it says killed four Palestinian gunmen who “endangered forces.”The Israeli military put the deal toll at nine, saying that those killed were “armed terrorists.” The Palestinian Red Crescent said that Israeli forces are blocking emergency workers from recovering the bodies.Israeli media outlets said that the extensive incursions into the West Bank involved special Mista’arvim forces who act as undercover Palestinians. The IDF operations targeted the Jenin refugee camp, the al-Far’a refugee camp, and the Nur Shams refugee camp.
