In a shocking revelation, a man caught his wife cheating on him red-handed. However, what drew significant public attention was that instead of his wife facing consequences for her actions, he was the one sent to prison for three months by the court.
According to reports, this incident occurred in Taiwan in February 2022 and has now made headlines. The man, named Phan, lived with his wife and two children. Suspecting his wife of having an affair, he decided to install hidden CCTV cameras in the living room and bedroom of their home to catch her in the act.
His suspicions were confirmed when the footage revealed his wife with another man. Based on this evidence, he approached the court to request a divorce. Initially, he attempted to resolve the matter amicably, but when his wife refused to agree, he filed a divorce petition in court.
However, his wife countered by filing a complaint with the police, accusing him of violating her privacy by installing hidden cameras. Phan argued that his children were distressed by their mother’s behaviour, as she spent most of her time in the bedroom, which prompted him to install the cameras. Despite his explanation, the court dismissed his argument and instead sentenced him to three months in jail for recording private footage of his wife.
This case has caused a stir on social media, with many people expressing surprise at how the husband ended up in jail. The case stands out due to its unusual legal outcome, as Phan, rather than being acknowledged as a victim, was found guilty and faced legal repercussions. The court charged him with harassment and invasion of privacy, deeming his use of hidden cameras illegal.
