Ishan Sharma’s social media post on the jacket went viral with many asking him not to buy merchandise from the store.

An Indian content creator was surprised to find “Made in Pakistan” merchandise at Harvard University in the US. Ishan Sharma, who has been documenting his trip to the US via his social media channels, said he visited the prestigious university to purchase some merchandise.

When he arrived at The Harvard Shop, which is a student-run merchandise store at Harvard, he was taken aback by the price tag of the jacket and the label that indicated that the clothing was manufactured in Pakistan.

He posted photos of himself wearing a Harvard jacket and shared videos of his visit on YouTube. A picture shared on his handles showed the label which read “Made in Pakistan”.

“Came to Harvard to buy merch. This one’s ₹ 12,000! But Made in Pakistan?!” Sharma posted on X.

Social media users advised Sharma against buying the product, citing poor quality and saying it wasn’t worth the price. Some users who previously bought the product recounted having an unpleasant experience.

He recently shared his excitement on social media after his visit to Harvard and described his experience as “EPIC”. He said it was “surreal” walking the same hallways once tread by legendary figures such as Barack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, and John F. Kennedy.

He said he explored several iconic spots including the Harvard Yard, John Harvard statue, the libraries, and the Harvard Square and interacted with current students.
