The toxic culture at workplaces often compels employees to take a stand for themselves, delivering a resounding message to the organisation by giving them a piece of their mind. In one such instance, a Reddit user has hogged the limelight by sharing a snapshot of her resignation mail, in which she gave a detailed explanation of her experience at the workplace. Her email, directed towards her manager and a senior responsible for the toxicity, gained traction on the platform.

As per the post, the Reddit user was working as a housekeeper in a company. As the woman highlighted the injustices that she and her fellow colleagues faced in her company, she noted that the organisation did not provide safety equipment at work. Accompanying the screenshot of her resignation email was a caption wherein she wrote, “I have never sent an employer such an email, but I am very hurt. This job was one of the best I have had, yet my manager managed to suck the spirit out of me, and I grew to hate it with a passion. I was a housekeeper mainly and often wasn’t provided the supplies to do my job. We have had multiple bedbug outbreaks, and my manager failed to follow the protocol.”

Further detailing the micromanagement in her organisation, she added, “Our best employees quit over a month ago due to her poor management as well. She wants robots, but we are people. I started another job where I won’t have to worry about this anymore.”

Upon being shared, the post garnered thousands of upvotes, prompting users to react on the same. One of the individuals replied to her saying, “Make sure you copy upper management and everyone else you can, seriously.”

“I think you wrote an excellent resignation letter, and if it makes your supervisor think even a little about the harm they cause, then you did a good thing,” added someone else.

Not long ago, an HR manager was abruptly fired following a class over a controversial leave policy for Raksha Bandhan. As per the WhatsApp chats that emerged online, the new policy introduced by the boss allowed the company to deduct seven days’ worth of salary instead of one if employees take leave for the festival on August 19. As the woman decided to take a stand against the unfair policy, she was dismissed from the company. In a post shared on LinkedIn, she mentioned being a two-week notice but added that her access was taken away immediately.
