Ukraine “Downs” $36 Million Su-34 Bomber Jet In Kursk Assault, Russia Builds Trenches 45km


Ukrainian forces advanced further into Russia’s Kursk region on August 14, Reuters reported. Kyiv said these gains would create a strategic buffer to protect its border from Russian attacks. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said he met with top officials to discuss the humanitarian situation. They also discussed the potential need for military commandant’s offices in an occupied area that Kyiv claims exceeds 1,000 sq km. Meanwhile, Zelensky also said Ukraine is reaching its “strategic goal” in the offensive in the Kursk region. Former Pentagon analyst and retired US Lt Col Karen Kwiatkowski said Ukraine couldn’t have launched the Kursk attack without US support.
