Ben-Gvir Leads Hundreds Of Israelis Into Al-Aqsa For Jewish Prayers, Netanyahu Slams

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu clashed with his far-right coalition partner Itamar Ben-Gvir, over who had the right to set policy on Al-Aqsa mosque. The far-right National Security Minister led hundreds of Israelis into the Al-Aqsa mosque compound in occupied east Jerusalem on August 15.Ben-Gvir and those accompanying him performed prayers marking a Jewish holiday, as per reports. Ben Gvir and some 2,250 other Israelis walked through the compound in groups, singing Jewish hymns. They were also joined by Otzma Yehudit minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf and Likud Knesset member Amit HaleviThey were protected by Israeli police, an official from the Waqf, the Jordanian body that is custodian of the site, told AFP.
