Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels claim the group is developing “major plans” for a strike on Israel. Lebanon’s health ministry said five Hezbollah fighters were killed in an Israeli strike on a house in the town of Mayfadun on August 4. The Israel Defence Forces claimed to have killed a commander in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan unit in southern Lebanon on August 5. At least seven people were injured in the northern Arab town of Mazra’a in the Western Galilee after a drone from Lebanon impacted on August 6. Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Hezbollah announced a new series of operations against Israeli military sites and troops along the border with Israel.
